Q. What types of injuries is it possible to make claims on? A. Injuries can be varied, of any type where you have suffered medical injury resulting in some kind of loss, financial or medical. Common categories of claims are road traffic accidents, trips and falls, workplace accidents, medical injuries or industrial disease. Other claims: Sports injuries, RSI, carbon monoxide poisoning, burns and chemical injuries. |

Q. What are industrial disease claims? A. Common industrial disease claims include: Asbestos diseases / Mesothelioma, hearing loss caused by workplace noise, bronchitis, asthma, occupational lung diseases caused by dust inhalation such as Pneumoconiosis, Asbestosis and Silicosis. Tendonitis and Tenosynovitis which may be preceded by repetitive use of hand tools. White finger or HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) caused by use of vibrating hand held machinery. |

Q. What type of medical injuries could lead to an injury claim? A. Typical claims could be mis-diagnosis, delay in diagnosis resulting in injury, surgical errors, neglect and injuries to a mother or child during childbirth (birth injury claims), disease contracted treatment, MRSA or hospital 'superbug'. |
